Cameron Edges Into The Lead As Drinkers Vote With Their Throats
Haslimann Taylor’s poll with a difference through Nicholson’s pubs shows Cameron has a marginal majority, as punters are sinking more pints with the Tory leader’s caricature on the pumps.
Early results from the Swig-o-Meter, which measures each party’s performance pint by pint, show that Cameron has 35% of the votes, while Clegg is following with 33% and Brown bringing up the rear with 32%.
The results from Nicholson’s Vote with Your Throat campaign that ran ahead of the last General Election correctly predicted a Labour victory, so the party leaders should pay attention to the pumps as May 6th draws closer.
Senior account manager Emma Howden said: “Gordon Brown may want to get down to a Nicholson’s pub for a few pints quickly! With last year’s campaign results being so accurate, it’s time for anyone in the Labour or Liberal Democrat camps to start voting with their throats!”
On the run up to the Election, Nicholson’s pubs across the country will be running the alternative polling station. To find your local ‘polling station’ visit www.nicholsonspubs.co.uk

Haslimann Taylor Gets Drinkers Voting With Their Throat

Haslimann Taylor has launched an opinion poll with a difference for Nicholson’s pubs and is encouraging punters to vote with their throat.
The agency held a photocall at the Marquis of Granby in Westminster to unveil three separate party-coloured pumps bearing caricature faces of Gordon Brown, David Cameron and Nick Clegg, each linked to its own barrel of Fullers London Pride.
Drinkers at the historic collection of pubs will be able to check their party’s performance pint by pint on each pub’s resident Swig-O-Meter, which will be updated daily. The results from the Nicholson’s Swig-O-Meters nationwide will be collated to predict who will be victorious on May 6th.
Senior Account Manager Emma Howden said: “The Vote with Your Throat campaign has caught the attention of national journalists and provided some much needed light relief from the glut of serious election coverage.”
